In April 2009 I took a strategic communications job for a US government project in Islamabad, Pakistan. After two years in the country I had learned a lot, fallen in love, adopted a dog, and gotten pregnant. After a hiatus in California to have our baby, I moved to Botswana in September 2012 with my husband, 11-month old daughter, and yellow Labrador to work on a different US government project promoting economic growth in Southern Africa. Since then my daughter became a little girl and we’ve added a baby boy to the family. Every day here is a reminder that life is an adventure!
